Horizon Eye Physicians is the dream of Dr. Pranav Patel and Dr. Shruti Aggarwal. We wanted to start an ophthalmology practice to serve the communities in Maryland with the intention of providing world-class care in a personalized manner. Shruti Aggarwal, MD
Cornea & Refractive Surgeon
Certified by American Board of Ophthalmology
After finishing medical school, Dr. Aggarwal pursued an ocular surface and corneal research fellowship at Harvard Medical School. She trained at University of Virginia for her ophthalmology residency. She completed her advance fellowship in corneal disease and refractive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, which is consistently ranked the #1 eye hospital in the United States for the past 20 years. Dr. Aggarwal’s care philosophy to treat all her patients like family and is excited to provide excellent, compassionate care to the communities in Maryland.
Pranav Patel, MD
Uveitis, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon

Dr. Patel went to University of Maryland for his undergraduate studies and completed his medical school at West Virginia University. He trained at SUNY Stony Brook for his ophthalmology residency, where he served as the Chief Resident. He completed a prestigious uveitis fellowship with world-renowned expert Dr. Stephen Foster. He is excited to offer his expertise to all patients in the Maryland area for a personalized and unparalleled ophthalmology experience.

Back in April of 2023 I had a very severe chemical burn to the right eye at work. I wasn’t happy with the doctors I saw, and the doctors I was following up with. I was able to get in touch with Dr. Aggarwal through another eye physician, she agreed to take my case and since then she has been nothing but kind and helpful with anything I need. She is very quick to schedule and respond when needed and very professional. I recently had to have my eye removed due to complications but she has since reached out and asked if I needed anything. I will forever be grateful to Dr.Aggarwal. Thank you for everything!
